A reading of the menu

Four shifts a day

We have not made anything up on this page. Everything here is what the card itself says about the kitchen it came from — the sections, the counts, the prices.

Morning

Six full breakfasts. Ten ways with eggs. Two pancakes and five bowls.

A kitchen that opens for breakfast is a kitchen that means it.

Most cafes put out one all-day breakfast and call it a service. This card has six, and they are not variations on the same plate: the Vegan Veg runs mushroom, cherry tomatoes, hash brown, baked beans and tofu. The Protein Breakfast runs two eggs, chicken sausage, chicken salami and chicken breast for ₹479. The Farmers Breakfast is carrot, beans, mushroom, broccoli and paneer.

Then, separately, eggs get their own section — sunny side up at ₹125, poached at ₹145, an egg white omelet at ₹150. Someone in that kitchen cares whether your egg is poached properly.

₹125

The cheapest thing on the menu

Sunny Side Up. Fried on one side, yolk bright and runny.

₹479

The most expensive breakfast

Protein Breakfast — two eggs, chicken sausage, chicken salami, chicken breast, hash brown, toast.

5 bowls

For the people who don't want a plate

Chia pudding, granola, soaked muesli, fruit bowl, Greek yogurt bowl — ₹220 to ₹310.

Sixteen espresso drinks, five cold brews, three manual brews, and nine ice teas.

The counter

You do not put a V60 on the menu to look good.

Pour over on a V60, AeroPress, French press — each offered hot or cold, each with a one-line explanation of what the method actually does. That is a brew bar, and it is priced honestly: ₹215 for an AeroPress against ₹180 for a cappuccino.

Around it sits the long tail — jaggery americano, espresso tonic, coconut cold brew, Turkish, Vietnamese, Hong Kong. Five milk alternatives, from ₹50 for coconut to ₹120 for almond.

Midday onward

Salads, steaks, mains, pasta, pizza — four sections, twenty-two plates.

Continental, with the hard things left in.

Risotto is on the card at ₹280, which is a low price for a dish that has to be stirred to order. Confit chicken is there too — a leg cooked slowly in its own fat. Stroganoff comes in both a vegetable and a chicken version. Bolognese is made with minced lamb, not beef, and it is the most expensive pasta at ₹499.

The Meze platter is the tell. Pita and lavash, falafel, hummus, tzatziki, baba ghanoush, grilled paneer, marinated olives. There is a second version with kibbeh and tuna for ₹449. Nobody builds two Meze platters by accident.

Late

Still open at half past eleven.

A cafe that serves breakfast and closes at 11:30 PM is running a very long day. It also explains the mojito section, the boba, and the nine ice teas — this is a room people sit in after dinner, not just before work.
